CIBIO-InBIO STARTS 36 NEW RESEARCH PROJECTS

Until next October, 36 projects will begin in different knowledge topics, focusing on the three CIBIO-InBIO research lines: Biodiversity, Ecology and Conservation; Sustainability, Ecosystems and the Environment; and Evolution, Genetics and Genomics.

Through this call (02/SAICT/2017), FCT will support innovative ideas that are relevant and make significant contributions to the advancement of scientific knowledge. Each approved proposal shall receive funding up to €240.000, for a maximum period of 36 months.

1618 applications were approved by 33 evaluation panels. Among the projects submitted by CIBIO-InBIO, 47% will be financed.

Call for Scientific Research and Technological Development Project Grants was a joint initiative of FCT and European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), through Portugal 2020 operational programs.
