BIOBLITZ WAS HIGHLIGHTED IN THE 1ST MEETING “MEDIATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND SCIENTIFIC CULTURE”

In the session “Participatory Projects and Community Engagement” Raquel Ribeiro addressed the collaboration protocol between CIBIO-InBIO, the Serralves Foundation and the FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, that results in the science communication project SERRALVES 360⁰, which includes BioBlitz.

The CIBIO-InBIO communication officer referred to the particularities of this "flash biological survey of species” made with public participation, whose focus is, according to her, "on the pedagogical component and awareness of biodiversity".

"Mediation of Knowledge and Scientific Culture" meeting counted on the participation of several science communicators and representatives of educational services from different knowledge areas, in a "stimulating sharing of experiences and good practices", Raquel Ribeiro said.
