I graduated in Biology and did a Master in Ecology in the University of Coimbra. In my Master’s thesis I studied the space use and foraging behaviour of red deer in open areas.

After finishing my Master I worked in Ecological and Epidemic Modelling in the Centro de Matemática e Aplicações Fundamentais of University of Lisbon during 3 years. In that time, I used ecological and epidemic models and statistic to understand the effect of the mosquito vector (Aedes aegypti) on dengue fever dynamics.

In 2015, I enrolled in the BIODIV PhD program from CIBIO-InBIO, with a BIODIV-FCT grant. My PhD project aims to evaluate big mammal communities in southern Angola National Parks and to assess the restoration and recovering of their biological patterns. Moreover, I intend to understand which are the regulation forces that control herbivore populations in the different biomes of the area.

My research interests are ecology, conservation, behaviour and dynamic of wild mammals’ populations.
