ECOMITO - Unraveling the ecological impact of mitochondrial introgression
This work will contribute to a clearer understanding of the impact of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) introgression on the fitness of individuals within natural populations. Using a transdisciplinarity approach, we will also shed some light on the ecological determinants of ancient mtDNA introgression of Lepus timidus lineage in hares from the Iberian Peninsula.
