In 2022 I finished my master’s thesis at CIBIO, in which I focused on how genetic introgression might contribute to genetic and trait novelty, in the face of climate change. By using hares as a study model, I learned how to apply genomic tools to the analysis of whole-genome information of species and populations.

Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Porto, developing my research project at CIBIO-InBIO in collaboration with MARBEC, University of Montpellier. During my PhD, I will combine population and comparative genomics to investigate the adaptive potential of the blue shark (Prionace glauca) facing ongoing oceanic changes.

In general, I am broadly interested in understanding the evolutionary processes underlying the phenotypic changes and adaptations of species to the environment.
