I have a degree in Animal Science, a Master's degree in Genetics and Animal Breeding from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2005), Brasil, and a PhD in Genetics and Animal Breeding from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2013). I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Bahia, Salvador, Brazil, and I work mainly in the areas: Genomic selection, genomic wide association studies, genetic improvement of species of economic interest, quantitative genetics and molecular genetics.
