Markus Roesch

I am a passionate herpetologist with strong interests in herpetofauna research and conservation. After graduating my MSc in Ecology at the University of Zurich (Switzerland), I gained several years of professional experience in applied conservation of insular herpetofauna in the Western Indian Ocean biodiversity hotspot. 

In my current project, I will elucidate cryptic species diversity within Seychelles endemic bronze geckos (genus: Ailuronyx) and provide critical results on life history, population dynamics and ecological requirements, necessary to inform adaptive management and conservation strategies of these threatened geckos.
