I am a PhD student at the University of Porto.  Since a young age, I have been fascinated by biology. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a particular interest in genetics and evolutionary biology. Specifically, I am interested in understanding how hybridization and interspecific gene flow can affect species evolution, as well as unveiling species dynamics during range shifts caused by climate changes.

Currently, in my PhD, I am working with south European hares to study the role of introgression in promoting local adaptation during post-glacial changes in the transition between the Pleistocene and Holocene, as well as its effects on current patterns of genetic variation.
