My name is José Camôngua Luís, an Angolan resident in the municipality of Lubango, province of Huíla. Born on December 10, 1989. I am a master’s in physical Geography and Spatial Planning, area of concentration in Biogeography by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT) of the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and graduated in Geography teaching by the Instituto Superior de Ciências de Educação da Huila (ISCED-Huíla). He has experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Change Ecology, with particular attention to modeling species in climate change scenarios - where in recent years he has dedicated special attention, looking at the impacts of climate change on vegetation. Currently, it is linked to the Center for Research and Development of Education (CIDE) and the Center for Biodiversity Studies and Environmental Education (CEBEA) of ISCED-Huíla, focusing essentially on southwest Angola. the study and conservation of the flora of the southern region of Angola, through several projects , developed in the Bicuar, Mupa and Iona National Parks, as well as with the communities of the southern region of Angola, aiming to mitigate the negative effects of climate change in this region Angola, which has been particularly affected by such effects through involvement in several research projects , some of which have already ended, namely the Southern African Science Services Center for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) and the Diversity Project Floristics of the Angola Escarpment.
