I am a biology graduate from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, FCUP, and I am currently in my second year of the master’s in Biodiversity, Genetics, and Evolution at the same institution. My thesis research focuses on the endemic-rich islands of São Tomé and Príncipe in West Africa, where I study the local and landscape predictors of aerial insectivorous bats. My work involves investigating the factors that affect the distribution and abundance of these bats, with the goal of informing conservation efforts in the region.

I have been deeply interested in conservation biology, and I am passionate about working toward protecting endangered species and their habitats.
