PORTUGUESE EDITION OF EDWARD O. WILSON’S “A WINDOW ON ETERNITY” PRESENTED IN PORTO

In 2011, while cataloging the local biodiversity in Gorongosa, Mozambique, Edward O. Wilson, the most important contemporary naturalist according to the National Geographic Society, fell in love with its National Park.

Uma Janela para a Eternidade (A Window on Eternity in its original version) depicts the environmental rehabilitation of Gorongosa National Park, one of the world’s richest places in biological diversity. Throughout its pages, the reader is presented with an extremely exciting and marvelously written narrative, which is elegantly framed by the magnificent pictures of Piotr Naskrecki. In addition to a preface by the internationally acclaimed writer Mia Couto, the book includes the documentary The Guide, by Academy Award Winner Jessica Yu.

The book’s public presentation, which took place at Fundação Cupertino de Miranda, in Porto, on March 28, 2015, was highlighted in various media outlets.
