CIBIO-InBIO's Science Communication and Outreach (SCO) Office is committed to the promotion of science dissemination and outreach activities, and to the handling of public and media relations affairs.

Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and its preservation and to bridge the gap between state-of-the-art research on biodiversity, genetics and evolution and the general public. The SCO Team is also in charge of handling and promoting CIBIO-InBIO's institutional presence in the media.

Our main focus areas are as follows:

• the design of science education and outreach projects and initiatives at formal and informal levels;
• the promotion of CIBIO-InBIO's presence in the media;
• the promotion the Center's institutional image in various online platforms and social media outlets.
