Born in 1993, Catarina Patoilo Teixeira graduated in Landscape Architecture (2014) and completed the master’s degree in Landscape Architecture (2016) at the School of Sciences of the University of Porto. Currently, she is a PhD student of the Doctoral Degree in Landscape Architecture, at the same institution, with a PhD grant funded by the Portuguese Agency for Science and Technology (FCT).

Her PhD research project addresses interesting and urgent themes and aims to understand the constraints and opportunities of Novel Urban Ecosystems (ecosystems that are emerging as a result of human-induced environmental changes), namely the role they can play in the creation of adaptive strategies for more resilient cities in the future.
