Alejandro Fabian Rozenfeld has graduated in Physics (1998) and as Ph.D. in Physics (Complex Systems) in 2003 at the National University of La Plata, Argentina. He has also specialized in Complex Networks at Bar Ilan University, Israel (2001−2004). He owned a "Juan de la Cierva” researcher position at the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA) at Mallorca, Spain (2005−2009). There, he performed studies to understand patterns and dynamics in Population Genetics, Ecology and Biology applying analytical tools already developed in the field of Complex Systems. On 2010– 2011he worked as Researcher/Associated Professor at the Department of Physics, Balearic University, Spain, and at "Universidad del Centro”, Engineering Department, Buenos Aires, Argentina..

Since 2008 he is member of the LINCGlobal (International Laboratory on Global Change) performing numerical simulations and modelling of future environmental scenarios in order to assess the impacts of global change on macro-ecology. He currently owned a researcher contract from Portuguese Technology and Science Fundation to work on "dynamics on network models of species including biotic and abiotic interactions”.
