Banco Espírito Santo (BES), in partnership with CIBIO, has launched BES Biodiversity Award 2012 under the theme "Biodiversity: research and conservation".

The prize is awarded every year and aims to distinguish innovating projects and initiatives of research, conservation and management of biological diversity in Portugal.

The prize is alternatively awarded in one of the following categories:

• Biodiversity: Research and Conservation
• Biodiversity and Business

The application period starts on 01 February 2012 and ends on 31 March, 2012.
