ILHASMAC - Conservation of plant biodiversity in the Macaronesian Hotspot: Integrating phylogenetic, taxonomic, and ecological approaches to study the Cape Verde endemic flora

ILHASMAC - Conservation of plant biodiversity in the Macaronesian Hotspot: Integrating phylogenetic, taxonomic, and ecological approaches to study the Cape Verde endemic flora

In this project, a multidisciplinary approach [Molecular Phylogenetics; Plant Taxonomy; Ecology; Conservation Biology] will be used to determine intrinsic and extrinsic drivers of diversity in the endemic flora by investigating newly established morphological and molecular diversity patterns in relation to lineage age, and also to island age, isolation and habitat diversity.
