Tiago Lourenço

Tiago Jorge Moreira Lourenço completed a BSc degree in Applied Biology (2013), at University of Minho. Shortly afterwards, he started his Master´s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioentrepreneurship in Plants at the same university. In 2017, he publicly presented and discussed his master thesis entitled: "Functional characterization of potential SUMO protease targets in Arabidopsis thaliana". His lab work contributed to the publication of two scientific articles in top journals, reaching an accumulative impact factor of 10.3. During his academic career, he organized the event "XIV Jornadas de Biologia" and participated in four events where he presented his research results in poster format. In addition, he has experience in the industrial sector, specifically in the evaluation of fruit quality. He helped in Biology classes. His research interests include plant development, plant nutrition, biofortification, post-translational modifications, transcriptomics and efficient usage of plants for human consumption.
