Philip John Gerrish

I received my PhD from Michigan State University, USA, in Zoology. I am interested in fundamental questions surrounding evolutionary genetics; in collaboration with others, I employ mathematical, computational, and experimental microbial evolution approaches to address these questions.

My three main areas of investigation at present are:

1. the effects of linkage on evolutionary dynamics,
2. a theoretical framework for forecasting the near-future course of evolution, and
3. antibody evolution and the rationale design of broad-spectrum vaccines.
