I graduated from Department of Animal and Fish production, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University, Egypt. I did my PhD at university of Sao Paulo, Brazil in area of Cattle gene mapping. I was awarded Post-doctoral fellowship from ministry of higher education of Egypt to study at CIBIO-InBIO. Currently, I am working as Lecturer of Animal breeding and genetics at Department of Animal and Fish production, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University. My main interest is quantitative genetics with focus on detection of quantitative trait loci in farm animals and genomic selection. I am also interested in studying variance component, genetic parameters of Farm animal populations, Lactation and growth curves.
