Miguel Ângelo Rebelo

Miguel Ângelo Pontes Rebelo completed in 2016 the degree in Biochemistry by the Faculty of Sciences & the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar of the University of Porto, having carried out the project "The influence of X-STRs on the development of ovarian cancer" at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology from Porto, within the framework of the curricular internship.

He is now a student of the Master's degree in Plant Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioentrepreneurship, from the University of Minho, and he is developing the dissertation project "Biological insights from the whole genome resequencing of Portuguese grapevine varieties" at CIBIO-InBIO.

At the moment he is also working as a Photographer and Freelance film-maker. He was distinguished with the 1st prize in the photography contest "Science in the transformation of the World" promoted by the University of Minho in the academic year 2016/2017.
