Marisa Carvalho Naia

I graduated with a BSc in Biology at Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto in 2017. During my MSc I addressed connectivity as a core strategy for biodiversity conservation in arid regions. The research was focused in priority areas for conservation and how to address conservation efforts to maximize the long-term persistence of biodiversity. I am also interested in how human disturbances and climate change affect species and arid ecosystems. My main research interests are biogeography, climate change and ecology and my ultimate goal is to contribute to wildlife conservation through scientific research.
