MSc Student
I graduated in Biology in the University of Porto in 2015. During my internship I used bioinformatics tools to infer the evolution of venom related proteins (Evolutionary genomics of the venom related protein family Phospholipase A2 group III in cephalopods).
I am interested in the interface of ecology, genetics and biogeography for providing helpful information for the conservation of mammals and herpetofauna. I am currently carrying out a Msc in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution at CIBIO-InBIO (Conservation Biogeography of Reptiles in West Africa: an application of DNA Barcoding and GIS for the identification of cryptic diversity and conservation units) and during my thesis I will be working with biogeographic and genetic data of reptiles from Mauritania to identify conservation units and priority areas for the conservation of the taxonomic group.
