I received my master’s degree in "ecology and conservation biology” program from department of Animal Ecology of Uppsala University in 2013. In my thesis I was addressing the genetic structure of Grévy’s zebra (Equus grevyi) in Ethiopia using mitochondrial sequencing and microsatellite markers through the use of non-invasive samples. Over the past few years I was also studying genetic status of wild boars (Sus scrofa). In collaboration with BIODESERTS researchers we did a study for quantification of past and present suitable habitats for the Asiatic Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus venaticus) in Iran, using biotic and abiotic factors.

I am interested to continue my studies for the future by using both genetics and species distribution modelling on rare and endangered species.

My main research interests are conservation biology, conservation genetics, ecology, wildlife and ecosystem management and ecological modelling. My goal is to contribute to biodiversity conservation through academic research.
