My research interests are phage therapy (for both veterinary and human medicine), phage bio control and detection methods based on phages. I also want to learn more about other areas of interest such as forensic microbiology and laboratory management.
Currently, I am a PhD student and my work focuses on Staphylococcus aureus bacteriophages. It will involve microscopy, classic microbiology techniques and molecular methods for detection, isolation and characterization of Staphylococcus aureus bacteriophages from samples collected in milk farms of north region. S. aureus isolates resistant to the infection tests with lytic phages will be characterized phenotypic and genotypically in respect to virulence factors and antibiotic resistance.
