I got my BSc in Biology with a specialization in Environmental Marine Biology in 2011 at the University of Lisbon (FCUL), and in 2013 I finished the writing of my Master Thesis on the influence of the neurotransmitter dopamine on cleaner fish cooperative behaviour. I’m currently preparing my Master Thesis final presentation, thus achieving my MSc in Marine Ecology in late 2014.

My Master Thesis, offered and advised by Dr. Marta Soares (CIBIO-InBIO) drove me to the fields of physiology and cooperative and cleaning behaviour, in which I’ll continue to work on further projects as a continuation to my master thesis where we’ll explore in more detail how dopamine modulation works in different social contexts other than cooperation.
