João Filipe Pires Martins

I am an MSc student with an undergraduate background in Biology, whose main research interests are invasive plant species and the application of ecological modelling tools in the study of invasion. My work so far has focused on the problematic invader Hakea sericea, using various modelling frameworks to understand the drivers of its distribution, its patterns and impacts. However my interest extends to invasive plant species in general, for example to the various invasive species in the genus Acacia.
