Joana Nogueira

I have a broad interest in freshwater ecology and conservation combining empirical and theoretical approaches. Research topics include biodiversity, impacts of extreme climatic events, impacts of invasive alien species and applied conservation mainly using invertebrates and fishes as surrogate species. Recently, I developed an interest in biogeography applied to freshwater conservation, which I want to pursue in this Ph.D.  I am enrolled in several projects as well as consulting to private sector. My research activities resulted in 6 published papers in Q1 scientific journals.
