Catarina Teixeira
PhD Student
Born in 1993, Catarina Patoilo Teixeira holds a degree (2014) and master's degree (2016) in Landscape Architecture from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. She has recently completed the Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture, at the same institution, with a grant funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and a thesis intitled "Towards a New Nature in cities: Understanding Novel Urban Ecosystems in the Anthropocene”. She was a Fulbright visiting researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2018/2019. At the moment, she is a Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, where she teaches planting design, management and maintenance of urban green spaces and urban green infrastructure qualification. Her research interests include topics such as planting design and management, urban ecology, tree-lined streets, and urban green infrastructure.
