I am an Ecuadorian herpetologist with a particular interest in spatial analysis of species distribution models and priority conservation areas for global herpetofauna. I am an assistant professor and curator of the herpetology section at the Museo de Zoología and Laboratorio de Zoología Terrestre of the Colegio de Ciencias Biológicas y Ambientales, Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ). I have worked with taxonomy, systematics, and conservation of neotropical small vertebrates. I also have an interest in the management and administration of collections and databases of Natural History collections. For my Ph.D. research, I will explore morphological, ecological, physiological, and macroevolutionary diversification in Mediterranean green lizards. With this research, I will contribute to the understanding of the effects of climate change on ectothermic organisms at a fine-scale and its application in global hotspots.
