Bruna Fonseca

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2020 at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, Portugal, where I also made my thesis focused on behaviour ecology with the sociable weaver (Philetairus socius). Currently, I am doing my master’s at CIBIO where I will be joining the Biodeserts group for my thesis. My thesis will focus on the analysis of people’s perceptions of climate change and how social media platforms can be used to better improve the communication between scientists and the general public. My main interests are wildlife conservation, particularly of large mammals, linked with ethnobiology, and environmental sustainability.
