Ana Filipa Palmeirim

Currently, I work as a Postdoctoral researcher in the TROPIBIO project. My research has been mostly focused on the complex biodiversity responses to habitat change, mostly habitat loss and fragmentation, across tropical forests. Recently, I became particularly interested in understanding how those responses affect the food-web structure and overall ecosystem functioning. My research covers a range of biological groups, including both vertebrates and invertebrates, and spans from Brazil to Malaysia and China. I have a PhD in Ecology by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2017), where I have also been a Postdoctoral researcher. Afterwards, I moved to China, where I joined the Southern University of Technology (SUSTech). Lately, I was a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual at the University of East Anglia.
