SORAIA BARBOSA INTEGRATES THE BOARD OF THE NEW SOCIETY FOR CONSERVATION BIOLOGY’S CONSERVATION GENETICS WORKING GROUP

The Society for Conservation Biology’s Conservation Genetics Working Group (SCB CGWG), previously a provisional group, has just received the status of official working group. It is a global community of conservation-minded people interested in the application of genetics to the conservation of biological diversity. The CGWG is currently composed of over 200 conservation scientists from more than 30 countries in five continents, including CIBIO-InBIO researchers Soraia Barbosa, Nádia Moraes-Barros and Teresa Silva.
