MIGUEL PORTO IS A FINALIST OF THE GBIF EBBE NIELSEN 2015 CHALLENGE

CIBIO-InBIO researcher Miguel Porto, from the Applied Ecology (APPLECOL) Group, is one of the six finalists of the GBIF Ebbe Nielsen 2015 Challenge, with the project ecoSpace. Although these finalists already received 1.000€ each, the winner may take an additional amount of 20.000€. But, until the winner is announced, all nominees will have to live in suspense, since the final results will be presented during the 22nd GBIF Governing Board, on October 2015, an event to be held in Madagascar.

This challenge replaces the usual Ebbe Nielsen prize awarded until 2014. In 2013, this very same prize was granted to another CIBIO-InBIO researcher – Miguel Bastos Araújo, coordinator of the Climate Change and Biodiversity (BIOCHANGE) Group.
