HUGO REBELO’S WORK WAS HIGHLIGHTED BY SMITHSONIAN.COM

Smithsonian.com carried out a report about bats that live in Portuguese centenary libraries. In that context, they highlighted Hugo Rebelo’s research about the bat colonies resident at the Library of National Palace of Mafra and at Joanina Library of Coimbra.

CIBIO-InBIO researcher has spent time researching these colonies, comprised largely of grey long-eared bats as well as some serotine bats, to understand bats’ role in the suppression of book pests.
