CIBIO-InBIO RESEARCH AWARDED IN THE 15th CONGRESS OF THE “SOCIEDADE PORTUGUESA DE ETOLOGIA”

The 15th Congress of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Etologia which was held on October 19-20, at the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Coimbra, gathered animal behaviour researchers and students.


CIBIO-InBIO researchers Soraia Guerra, Gonçalo Cardoso and Ana Cristina Gomes won the “Best Oral Presentation” award, with the talk “The Seasonal changes in behaviour suggest a role of personality differences in breeding”.


The poster “Stress and cooperation: a role for the serotonin and dopamine systems?”, co-authored by CIBIO-InBIO researchers Cristiana Marques, Sónia Cardoso and Marta Soares, was highlighted as the "Best Poster".


Marta Soares was also a invited speaker at the congress. She presented the talk “Taking lessons from cooperative fish: The proximate «ins and outs» of cleaning mutualism”, through which she addressed her research into behavioural endocrinology and fish models.
