CIBIO-INBIO AND ANGOLA IN A PARTNERSHIP FOR BIODIVERSITY
On May 21, 2019, an International Conference on Biodiversity was held in Luanda, where CIBIO-InBIO consolidated its partnership with Angola in research and conservation of biodiversity.
During the event CIBIO-InBIO and the National Institute of Biodiversity and Conservation Areas of Angola signed the Cooperation Agreement on Biodiversity Research. This agreement aims to establish academic cooperation. In this context, CIBIO-InBIO, in collaboration with the Government of Angola and the Kissama Foundation, co-organized the launching session of the Biodiversity Book of Angola - Science and Conservation: A Modern Synthesis.
Under the scope of the UNESCO Chair Life on Land, coordinated by CIBIO-InBIO, those initiatives mark another important step in the scientific collaboration between the two countries and called media attention.
