In 2013, I joined a team studying the ecology of the European Free-tailed bat (Tadarida teniotis) in the Sabor Valley under the project Sabor-LTER to work as a field assistant. Since then I have also been using molecular tools to study this intriguing species' diet.
This year I won a BIODIV PhD grant in CIBIO-InBIO to study the role of bats as pest regulators in cork oak forests.
My research interests include conservation and ecology, but also population genetics, biogeography and ecological niche modeling. Although I am currently working with bats, I am interested in most faunal groups, specially birds and meso/large mammals, and how they cope with humanized landscapes.
