Rita Araújo

Rita Araújo is the Executive Coordinator of CIBIO-InBIO. Previously she was Project Manager at Health Cluster Portugal. Rita Araújo obtained a degree in Applied Biology from University of Minho. She holds a PhD in Sciences in the area of recombinant protein expression for biotechnological application and has post-doctoral experience in the area of interference RNA for cosmetic and therapeutic applications.
Main responsibilities: managing the overall scientific activities; communication between the different poles of CIBIO-InBIO, the research groups and management bodies; liaison with funding bodies; searching new funding opportunities; identification of opportunities to integrate national and international consortia; writing national and international protocols; support to the preparation and submission of CIBIO-InBIO applications; elaboration of activity reports.
