I graduated in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences from University of Porto in 2011. Currently, I am on the second year of the Masters degree in "Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution” at CIBIO-InBIO.

My main interests are Phylogeography, Conservation Genetics and the Evolution of Vertebrates. Currently I am developing my master thesis that focus on the phylogeographic study of the Mediterranean pond turtle (Mauremys leprosa) along with the genetic characterization of its Iberian populations. At the end, it is expected to be possible to detect translocated animals and indentify the origin of unknown individuals delivered in Recovery Centers in order to return them to their population of origin.
