My research interests include conservation genetics, population genetics, behavior and ecology of mammals, with special interest in primates. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Doctoral programme in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution at University of Porto and CIBIO/InBIO. Under the supervision of Dr. Nádia Barros my thesis is focused on conservation genetics of the Brown Howler Monkey (Alouatta guariba clamitans) threatened by habitat destruction and outbreaks of yellow fever in southern Brazil.
