My focus is understanding the processes related to population genetics, phylogeography and conservation genetics using as a model aquatic organisms. I have been involved since 2010 in research projects with: i) species with fisheries importance, ii) species with some degree of threat and iii) also I have been exploring the invasion process of tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon in the Colombian Caribbean.
Now I'm interested in continuing revealing the main factors governing the evolution of invasions in aquatic organisms.
