I am interested on population biology, and my research interests are focused on the ecology, conservation and management of animal populations using multidisciplinary approaches.

I did my graduation in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and I first worked as a technician during some years in different research projects focusing on the wildlife management of small game. After I was a PhD student at the Instituto de Investigación en Recursos Cinegéticos IREC (CSIC-UCLM-JCCM), and my thesis was about the ecology and genetics of the redlegged partridges (Alectoris rufa).

Currently I moved as a Post-doc researcher to CIBIO-InBIO, at the University of Porto. I am working trying to understand the mechanisms of reproductive isolation between two European rabbit subspecies (Oryctolagus cuniculus), combining behavioural, physiological or molecular approaches.
