My PhD is focused on the evolutionary processes that led to the diversification of midwife toads (Alytes spp.). This group comprises five species distributed throughout Western Mediterranean Basin.
I am interested in understanding aspects related with the speciation process and phylogenetic relationship of the Baleaphryne clade (A. maurus, A. muletensis and A. dickhilleni), and the processes of lineage diversification and extinction and the dynamic of geographic expansion in A. obstetricans subspecies.
