I have a BSC in Biology (2012) and MSC in Ecology, Environment and Territory (2014) from the Faculty of Sciences University of Porto. I completed the PhD in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution awarded jointly by the University of Porto and Lisbon (2023).
My research focuses on the impacts of environmental changes on the distribution, ecosystem functioning, and ecosystem services provided by stream and riparian ecosystems. Recently I have focused on investigating the vulnerability and resilience of riparian forest ecosystems in the face of climate change and extreme events (e.g., droughts) and its implications for key ecosystem services.
Currently I am a junior researcher in the project BryoMicroClim - Combining microclimate sensor networks and models to uncover the vulnerability of small plants to climate change (2023-2024).
