WEEKS OF SCIENCE IN SERRALVES - Amphibians
This week's primary goal is to promote direct contact between the public and the scientific community. During this week, CIBIO researchers will coordinate a series of actions under the theme of Biodiversity, including COURSES, WORKSHOPS for STUDENTS, lectures and MINI-Courses.
Roundtable (April 19th, Thursday 17:00-19:30)
We have invited several personalities to discuss the contemporary challenges of amphibian conservation, in an urban context.
Mini course (April 21st, Saturday 10:00-13:00)
In this course we will learn to identify the different species of amphibians occurring in Porto Metropolitan area and discuss some of their more threatening conservation issues. Afterwards, we will take a walk in the park aiming to find amphibians and to put in practice the theory learnt previously.
Itinerary (April 22nd, Sunday 11:00-13:00)
A path in Parque de Serralves is the starting point to observe the amphibian species that naturally occur here and learn about some of their ecological curiosities.
